US FDA shares initial thinking on 3D printed medical device design, manufacturing and testing

The US FDA has released a draft guidance for industry and FDA staff on technical considerations for additive manufactured or 3D printed medical devices, which when finalized will provide guidelines for what the FDA considers the best practice and standard in this field.
