Bioprinting directly onto skin defects and its potential in surgery
Scientists from 3D Bioprinting Solutions and P.A. Herzen (both Moscow, Russia) have been trialling the use of bioprinting directly onto skin defects. The in situ experiments could help push research forward into the possibility of bioprinting tissue onto human patients during surgery.
