Announcing our new Silver Partner: Medics

Written by 3DMedNet

3DMedNet is delighted to welcome Medics (Turin, Italy) as its inaugural Silver Development Partner.

Born in 2016 as an innovative startup within the I3P, the Innovative Enterprise Incubator of the Polytechnic University of Turin, Medics is today a leading company in the sector of 3D modeling applied to preoperative planning and intraoperative support of complex surgeries.

The Medics team has developed an innovative technology called Hyper Accuracy 3D™ (HA3D™), that allows for the design and creation of interactive anatomical replicas with a higher level of precision and fidelity to the patient’s anatomy.

The virtual and physical 3D models, made in 1:1 scale, are created starting from traditional 2D diagnostics (X-ray, CT, AngioTC, MRI) and the whole process is simplified by MyMedics, the company’s cloud-based portal: the surgeon uploads the DICOM files directly from their PC and receives the three-dimensional reconstruction in 48–72 hours.

As a Silver Development Partner, Medics joins 3DMedNet this year as a key partner in the journey to growing the website into the ultimate resource for the 3D printing in medicine community.

As 3DMedNet continues to strive to serve the dynamic and diverse 3D printing in medicine community, Medics will contribute insights and expert opinions. Throughout this partnership, members of 3DMedNet can expect insightful articles, videos and webinars from the 3DMedNet and Medics, who will be working together to benefit the whole medical 3D printing community.

Freya Leask, Publisher of 3DMedNet, commented: “We’re so pleased to welcome Medics into the 3DMedNet family as our first Development Partner. We look forward to sharing their news and development with our expert, engaged audience, and thank them for their support as we continue to grow 3DMedNet – I am sure this is the start of a fantastic partnership!”

“The use of 3D modeling in surgery offers the doctor a concrete help for the pre-operative planning and for the intraoperative support of complex operations, significantly reducing the risk of unforeseen events and complications and ensuring that the patient has tailored surgical treatment.” – Medics
